Sir John Radcliffe, of Ordsal, buried in the Collegiate Church 11th February, aged 53. Five of his sons died on the battlefield—four at an early age. One of his two daughters died of grief for the death of her brethren. Sir John was suspected of being a secret adherent to the Roman communion.(7)
